From 1st of January 2026, you will have the chance to officially register your assessment result at VDA QMC. That will give you the possibility to issue certificates for the result of an assessment performed without infringing the copyright of the registered trademark “Automotive SPICE^®”.

The official registration of the result is possible for any assessment being performed after 1st of January 2025. The registration process will be based on an application, which will be available and published soon.

Prerequisites

• The assessment is performed based on the recommended VDA Scope (see VDA Automotive SPICE guidelines)

• The assessment is performed according to the requirements of ISO/IEC 33002 and the intacs^® code of conduct (confirmed by the lead assessor and the associated intacs^® log.

• Both the assessing organization and the organization assessed are confirming to publish the result of the assessment.

After successful registration, you are entitled to issue a certificate of achievement using the given registration number and the official Automotive SPICE^® Logo (sample certificate is as follows). You are free to choose your own layout; only a set of formal requirements, such as mandatory or inadmissible elements needs to be considered.

The registration is subject to a fee of 375 € for each single assessment result (only valid for 2026; the original price of 750 € will apply starting from 2027).

Please note that the assessing organization is taking full responsibility for the validity and correctness of the assessment result, the correct implementation of the assessment according to the requirements of ISO/IEC 33002 and the confidentiality of information exchanged with the organization assessed.

A successful registered assessment can be validated by a QR Code, which is provided by VDA QMC and is a mandatory element of the certificate of achievement issued by the assessing organization.
